2007 Rules

 
Dimensions
 

Overall tire width 68" inches not to exceed 73" inches, (outside to outside)

Wheelbase- 76" inches or greater not to exceed 80" inches

Frame height- 2 inches at Lowest point

All cars must have side nerf bars, Front and rear bumpers and also must have Rear Nerf bars

Bumper heights must be center of the hub high
 

All cars must have Rack and Pinion steering
 

No roof Wings
 

Front nose wings are acceptable
 

Rear wing must be attached to body panels
 

Car configuration should remain as manufactured to represent a Super Modified. Any changes need approval from majority of other drivers and manufacture
 

All cars shall be numbered on left and right side quaterpanels and also numbers on the front and back of the cars
 

All panels must be attached during race
 

All dzus fasteners or any other kind of fastener must be in place before each race

Roll Cage and main chassis rails must be made of Seamless 1 1/2 .095 wall tubing

Fuel

3 Gallon maximum capacity fuel cell. Tank must be vented and one way valve must not leak in any position and cars need a vent hose to run behind driver capartment from

Fuel cell to go below to rear of the car
 

Fuel tank must be located behind, and outside driver compartment with a firewall between driver and fuel tank
 

Fuel Shut off Valve to be brass ball valve

Fuel shut off valve must be located on left side of driver compartment, with handle inside of the driver capartment and must be clearly marked for saftey crews.
 

Fuel lines passing from fuel tank to engine must be steel or braided to prevent bursting and must be outside of driver capartment
 

Only pump gas fuels allowed
 

Electric fuel pumps may be used, with shut off switch in dash
 

Fuel pressure regulators are allowed
 

No fuel additives, performance additives and no nitrous oxide

Engine

Stock 4 cylinder inline Motorcycle Engines Only

Carbs and oil pan modification only

600cc engines only, from Honda (f1,f2,f3, f4 series), Suzuki, and Kawasaki
 

Carbureted motors only, no blowers or fuel injection
 

Motors must remain Stock! No internal modifications to the engine,such as porting, cam changes

Transmission must be the one that came with the engine and all gears must work
 

Jet Kits and Aftermarket carbs allowed
 

Engines must be left side mounted
 

Claimer rule of 1000 dollars (not including carbs, exhaust, alternator, starter and ignition)
 

second place finisher the only one that claim motor from the winner
 

All motors must have O.E.M parts that belong to that motor

Electrical
 

One 12 volt battery only
 

Batteries must be located under left side pod outside driver compartment
 

Batteries must be securely mounted with a top restraint
 

Car must have clearly marked master electrical shutoff located on the left side of the car. Any electrical lines insdie of the car must be insulated and well clear of fuel lines
 

No Aftermarket iginition systems
 

Cooling
 

Water or oil cooled
 

No anti freeze, additives are acceptable
 

Catch can for overflow

Suspenion

Shocks and coil Over springs only

All shocks must be vertical


Shocks and springs from any brand. Limit to $150 dollars for each corner of the car, for both Shock and Spring
 

Chevette or any steel spindle
 

Straight axels may be used
 

No torsion bar suspension or Cantilever suspension
 

Brake System
 

Each car will have functional front and rear brakes, brakes may be disc or drum
 

Brake bias can be used
 

Weight
 

No car will weigh under 1125lbs with driver
 

Ballast may be added, Ballast must be safely secured, and must have car number on it.
 

Ballast must be painted white
 

No more than 65% left side weight

Rear Ends
 

Quick change rears or other rearends
 

No electronic traction control

Drive Train
 

Drive shaft must have a steel safety loop
 

Driver must be protected from drive shaft

Drive shaft must be painted white and made of steel

Safety

Safety wheel teathers on both left and right front in front end

cars must have a 5 point safety harness
 

Belts must be within 2 years of date of stamp

No Motorcycle Helmets, Must be Racing approved Snell 95 or better
 

no warn or frayed belts

All cars must have a quick release steering wheel. Steering wheel pad recommended
 

Any line carrying fluids through the driver compartment must be completely shielded, and be of sufficient strength to prevent bursting
 

Padded roll bars for top of roll cage
 

Aluminum seat (recommended)
 

Drivers must have approved fire suit atleast 1 layer
 

If driver has 1 layer suit it is recommended that they wear protective underwear
 

Nomex shoes and gloves
 

Neck Brace or Head and neck restraint system
 

Front Screen is optional
 

Arm restraints

All switches  and fuel shut off switch must be labeled

 

Wheels and tires

Steel Rims only. Rim diameter must not exceed 13"inches with a maximum width of 11" inches on the front and 13"inches on the rear
 

Tires can be Hoosier or American Racer, compound changes allowed
 

Handicap
 

Starting position for the  heat,  are from the past Feature race with the winner starting last and the last place finisher starting on the pole. any driver not in the last race for any reason will start at the rear. Any new drivers will start at the rear. The top 6 drivers from the heat will be inverted for the feature. Meaning the winner of the heat starts sixth and the the sixth place finisher in the heat starts on the pole
 

Conduct
 

These are open wheel race cars, and respect must be given to the competitors around you
 

Excessive rough driving won't be tolerated

Points System
 

100 points will be awarded to the winner of feature with 15 points awarded to the winner of the Heat race.

A season champion will be crowned at the end of each season with a trophy being presented to the champion

The advisory board is the existing owners and Drivers

Any Questions may be directed to the advisory board.
 

These rules are subject to change by popular vote of all drivers
 

All safety issues are up to popular vote by the advisory board
