2010 Rules
Dimensions
The overall tire width must be at least
68 inches and not exceed
73 inches (outside to outside).
The Wheelbase must be at least
76 inches and not exceed
80 inches.
The Frame height must be at least
2 inches high at its lowest point.
All cars must have side and rear nerf bars and front and rear bumpers.
The bumper heights must be at the center of the hub height.
All cars must have Rack and Pinion steering.
No wings may be used on the car.
Any changes to the car’s configuration must get approval by a majority vote of
other drivers and also by the manufacturer.
All cars shall be numbered on left and right side quaterpanels.
All body panels must be attached safely during the race.
All dzus fasteners or any other kind of fastener must be in place before each
race.
The Roll Cage and main chassis rails must be made of Seamless 1 1/2 .095 wall
tubing.
Fuel
All cars must have one 3 Gallon maximum capacity fuel cell. Fuel tanks must be
vented and one way valve must not leak in any position. Cars must have a vent
hose running from the fuel cell to below the rear of the car.
The fuel tank must be located between frame rails and outside the driver’s
compartment with a firewall between the driver and the fuel tank.
The fuel shut off valve must be brass ball valve.
The fuel shut off valve must be located on the left side of the driver’s
compartment. The handle must be inside of the driver’s compartment and must be
clearly marked for safety.
Fuel lines passing from the fuel tank to the engine must be outside of the
driver’s compartment.
Electric fuel pumps may be used.
Fuel pressure regulators are allowed.
Only pump gas fuels are allowed.
No fuel additives, performance additives, or nitrous oxide are allowed.
Engine
Only stock 4 cylinder inline 600cc motorcycle engines from Honda (f1,f2,f3, f4
series) are allowed.
Modification may only be done to the Carburetors and oil pan.
Only carbureted engines are allowed. No blowers or fuel injection.
Engines must remain Stock. No internal modifications to the engine such as
porting or cam changes are allowed.
The transmission must be original to the engine and all gears must work
properly.
Jet Kits and Aftermarket carburetors are allowed.
All motors must have O.E.M parts that belong to that motor.
Engines must be mounted on the left side of the car.
A claimer rule of $1000 is in place (not including carburetors, exhaust,
alternator, starter and ignition). Only the top three teams in points can use
the claimer rule.
Electrical
Only one 12 volt small tractor battery is allowed.
The battery must be located under the left side pod outside the driver’s
compartment.
The battery must be securely mounted with a top restraint.
Cars must have clearly marked master electrical shutoff located on the left side
of the car.
Any electrical lines on the inside of the car must be insulated and clear of
fuel lines.
No Aftermarket ignition systems are allowed.
Safety
Safety tethers are required on both left and right spindles.
Cars must have a 5 point safety harness.
Seat belts must be within 2 years date of stamped. No warn or frayed belts are
allowed.
No Motorcycle Helmets are allowed. Helmets must be racing approved Snell 95 or
better.
All cars must have a quick release steering wheel. Steering wheels must have a
pad.
Any lines carrying fluids through the driver compartment must be completely
shielded and be of sufficient strength to prevent bursting.
Roll bars on the top of the roll cage must be padded.
Aluminum seats are recommended.
Drivers must have an approved fire suit of at least 1 layer.
If a driver has a 1 layer suit it is recommended that they wear protective
underwear.
Nomex shoes and gloves are required.
A neck Brace or a head and neck restraint system is required.
A front Screen is optional.
Arm restraints are optional.
All switches and fuel shut off switch must be clearly labeled.
Wheels and Tires
Only steel rims are allowed. Rim diameter must not exceed 13"inches with a
maximum width of 11" inches on the front and 13"inches on the rear.
Tires must be Hoosier.
Cooling
Engines must be water or oil cooled.
Anti-freeze is not allowed.
A catch can for water overflow is required.
Suspension
Only shocks and coil over springs are allowed.
All shocks must be vertical.
Shocks and springs may be from any brand. A limit of $200 dollars for each
corner of the car exists for both shock and spring.
Chevette or any other steel spindles are required.
Straight axels may be used.
No torsion bar suspensions or cantilever suspensions are allowed.
Brake
System
Each car must have functional front and rear brakes. Brakes may be disc or drum.
Brake bias may be used.
Rear Ends
Quick
Change, Toyota or Suzuki Rears
No electronic traction control is allowed.
Drive Train
The drive shaft must have at least 2 steel safety loops.
The driver must be protected from the drive shaft.
The drive shaft must be painted white and made of steel.
Weight
No car may weigh less than 1125lbs with driver. (This weight is subject to
change by a majority vote if deemed necessary.)
Ballasts may be added.
Ballasts must be safely secured with welded studs and at least 1 safety strap.
Ballasts must have car number on them.
Ballasts must be painted white.
No more than 65% left side weight is allowed.
Handicap
The starting positions for the heat race are from the past feature race with the
top 6 drivers inverted. Any new drivers or drivers not in the last race for any
reason will start at the rear. The top 6 drivers from the heat will be inverted
for the feature unless the driver chooses not to (The driver will then start in
the back).
Since the cars are open wheel race cars respect must be given to the competitors
around you while driving. Excessive rough driving will not be tolerated.
Points System
100 points will be awarded to the winner of the feature with 15 points awarded
to the winner of the Heat race.

A season champion will be crowned at the end of each season with a trophy being
presented.
Advisory Board
The advisory board consists of the existing car owners and drivers.
Any questions may be directed to the advisory board.
